Grammy Award winner Lil’ Wayne met with President Donald Trump in Miami, Florida on Thursday. The Louisiana native spoke with the President about potential policies he hopes to put in place if re-elected.
“[I] just had a great meeting with President Donald Trump besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform. The platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership,” he tweeted.
“He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”
Lil’ Wayne is not the only artist to make contact with the President regarding his Platinum Plan. Earlier this month, Ice Cube received criticism for consulting with the White House regarding the proposal. Ice Cube has said that he will not work with the President leading up to election day, but it appears that Lil’ Wayne move differently. In fact, Wayne’s team contacted the President first and initiated the meeting.
The Louisiana native has not commented on the meeting since publishing his initial tweet.
