Lil Wayne drops a creative music video for his song “Mama Mia.”
“Mama Mia” is a standout track from Lil Wayne’s latest album Funeral. The music video which officially dropped on March 07, 2020 features some trippy visuals ripped directly from the lyrics. Lil Wayne and a crew of dancers take the lead, morphing into images that mirror the witty raps.
Directed by Mike Ho, the music video brings almost every line to life. Lil Wayne sat with MTV Fresh Out Live and discussed how he came up with the treatment for the video. He also says how he knows nothing about Harry Potter despite rapping “I’m a wizard with this motherfu**er like I went to Hogwarts.” At that moment in the video, he and the dancers sported ties in Gryffindor colors and glasses similar to those of Potter.
The New Orleans rapper may have been in the game since taking over for “the 99 and the 2000” however he shows no signs of stopping. During a recent conversation on Drink Champs, Weezy F Baby reveals he remains a fan of himself and keeps his own music in rotation.
