During some of the prime years of his career, Lil’ Wayne was seemingly sidelined due to issues with his record label. After returning with Tha Carter V in 2018, it appears that the New Orleans native has no intentions of slowing down. Last year, he dropped Funeral and No Ceilings III. Now, he’s hinting at dropping yet another project in 2021.
The accomplished superstar announced that he has signed on a deal with UTA on Wednesday. Despite signing in all areas, he remains a member of the Young Money Records family. Adding to the announcement of his new deal, he told fans that they could expect I Am Not A Human Being III this year as well. However, he did not offer a specific date.
If he does follow through with his promise, it will mark the first time in a decade that he’s dropped studio albums in consecutive years. Also, it would be the first time that he and his protege, Drake, dropped albums in the same year since 2015. Drake dropped If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late and Lil’ Wayne delivered the Free Weezy Album. Maybe, a Drake vs. Wayne tour part two could be on the way. Fans can only dream. For now, the wait is on for I Am Not A Human Being III.
