As the days go on, more bits and pieces reveal themselves regarding the current feud between Lil Wayne and Birdman. Many of us were left thinking, if the split between Lil Wayne and Birdman goes through, where does this leave Nick Minaj, Drake, and all the other artists that are signed to Wayne’s Young Money record label.
Well, according to TMZ, it appears that Lil Wayne is not only suing to get out of his current Cash Money record deal, but he is also seeking to take all the artists he’s signed with him. Due to the Young Money artists having distribution deals with Cash Money, this could get more complicated than what most think.
If the lawsuit does end up going in Lil Wayne’s favor, it’s vital that a label is found to meet or exceed the current state of their current distribution deals. We’ll all definitely wait and see how this plays out.
