Talk about a quick turnaround. Just yesterday, to the surprise and relief of some, we received even further confirmation that Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s upcoming collaboration project, Collegrove, was not just some fluke or idea that was tossed around. Taking to his Twitter, Kanye West not only shared the accompanying album cover, but he also revealed that the new project would be available for all on this coming Friday, March 4th. With not much music surfacing from the project, fans have had little to no indication of what the LP would sound like. Now, that has changed as the duo have officially premiered ‘Gotta Lotta’ from the upcoming body of work.
Simply put, ‘Gotta Lotta’ is a great example of when the worlds of Rock & Hip-Hop collide. Kicking off the record, and being familiar to riding over Rock/Hip-Hop fused production, is Lil Wayne as he swims between rapping and singing on the enticing beat. Not to be left out, 2 Chainz blasts in and sounds off in only a way that we’re use to from 2 Chainz. The tune serves as a great introduction to the project that will be available in less than 24 hours and equally displays the flare that Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz possess.
