Lil Uzi Vert has been dealing with an ongoing battle with his record label Generation Now. The battle has delayed the release of his sophomore album Eternal Atake and has even prompted the Philly rapper to quit music and “retire”. On Monday, the rapper took to Instagram stories, sharing a series of posts saying “Free Uzi”.
According to Complex, a source close to the platform has confirmed that Uzi is now being managed by Roc Nation. On a post on Instagram stories, Uzi tagged Roc Nation with a caption that read, “back in the studio thank you @rocnation” with “Free Uzi” paired with emojis.
No other details have been revealed yet about the Roc Nation and Lil Uzi deal.
