Lil Nas X’s reign on the music charts continues as Old Town Road becomes the longest-running No. 1 hip-hop song on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
While Lil Nas X continues to expand his music career, his megahit Old Town Road featuring Billy Ray Cyrus cannot be topped. For 13 weeks straight, it sits atop the charts blocking pop stars such as Taylor Swift from claiming No. 1.
Billboard reports Lil Nas X passes the 12-weeks spent at No. 1 by See You Again, by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth (2015), Boom Boom Pow, by The Black Eyed Peas (2009) and, Lose Yourself, by Eminem (2002-03).
Recently, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus performed their mega-hit during the 2019 BET awards. The young musician also used Twitter to confirm his LGBTQIA identity in a series of tweets.
