
Lil’ Nas X has easily had the most unexpected rise to success over the past year. In just a matter of a year, he went from being a regular Black kid in his room making music to being one of the most recognizable faces in all of music. With the success of his breakout hit, Lil’ Nas X earned a Diamond Certified plaque and stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for more than a dozen weeks straight.

After dominating the charts all year long, he took over the STAPLES Center at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. As expected, he started off things with a performance of “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus. Alongside the duo, BTS and Mason Ramsey also stepped on the stage to help out. Following the opening song, he brought out Nas to perform “Rodeo.”
