Time seems to heal all wounds. Singer Faith Evans and rapper Lil Kim appear to have let bygones be bygones, 20 years after Lil Kim was found sleeping with Evans’ late husband, The Notorious B.I.G.
Sean “Diddy” Combs announced recently that there would indeed be a 20th Anniversary Bad Boy Reunion concert as well as a following tour. Many wondered if former artists on the label would put aside their beefs with the label founder. However, the biggest conflict of all between Faith Evans and Lil Kim seemed to have a lot of people wondering if either of the ladies would be involved.
The talented first ladies of Bad Boy Records spent majority of their careers on opposite sides of the spectrum both before and after the death of Evan’s then-husband the late Notorious B.I.G.
The history between these two spans back over two decades as Evans’ husband, The Notorious B.I.G mentored Lil ‘Kim. Rumors had been floating around that Lil’ Kim and Biggie were more than just label mates. Evans detailed the night she found Kim in bed with her then-husband in her 2008 memoir, “Keep The Faith.”
With the reunion concert just around the corner, a new video clip of Lil’ Kim rehearsing with Faith Evans suggests that they’re on much better terms these days.
In an Instagram video posted by Faith, we see Evans playing the hype woman for Lil’ Kim as she raps her lyrics on the 1995 Junior Mafia hit, “Get Money.”
The irony of the clip is that it had long been assumed that Kim’s lyrics were directed at Big for his cheating.
The Bad Boy reunion tour will begin at the end of August, after the two New York dates, and will be ending in October.
