Album Stream: Lil’ Durk – Signed To The Streets 3

It’s may be hard to believe, but it’s been over five years sin Lil’ Durk dropped his mixtape, Signed To The Streets. The 2013 project featured tracks like “100 Rounds”, “Competition” and his breakout hit, “Dis Ain’t What U Want”. His hit, “Dis Ain’t What You Want”, went on to achieve massive success along with a remix that included Rick Ross, French Montana and Meek Mill.

When Durk dropped the first project in the series, he was justifiably excited about it. He told MTV, “It’s a lot more interesting. There’s a lot more storytelling. It’s different from my last mixtape but it’s still real rapping. I just stepped it up a notch. I got DJ Drama and he made it bigger.” The project received great reviews from critics as well. Tom Breihan of Stereogum wrote that the project “has the tough-minded energy that made so much of that drill stuff exciting in the first place.” Renato Pagnani of Pitchfork called the project “his best mixtape yet.”

In the years since the release of Signed To The Streets, Durk has gone on to earn gold plaques, drop his debut album and work with the likes of Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Tee Grizzley and many more. In addition, he dropped the sequel to Signed To The Streets back in 2014. This week, the Chicago rapper is back to continue the series with a full length album.

Durk’s third studio album, Signed To The Streets 3, comes after a two year break from his last album. The newest project comes with singles, “Rockstar”, “Spin The Block”, “Home Body”, “Downfall” and “Neighborhood Hero”. The project also comes with guest appearances from Future, Gunna, Lil’ Baby and more. Stream the project above and let us know where Signed To The Streets 3 ranks in the series.
