Liam Neeson has signed on to star in the remake of ‘The Escapist’.
Frank Perry, an inmate serving a life sentence. When he learns his daughter becomes terminally ill, he plans an elaborate escape plan to be with her one last time.
‘The Escapist’ was originally released back in 2008 with Brian Cox in the starring role. The movie had a very limited release and only grossed $389,000 worldwide.
No release date or other casting decisions have been released about the remake.
Neeson can be seen next in ‘Taken 3′ which hits theaters on January 9.
