Considered a ‘must see’ movie of the summer, Harrison Ford and Liam Hemsworth are starring in Paranoia.
Hemsworth playing Adam Cassidy is an entry-level employee at a top tech corporation. After being fired and looking for compensation, he and his friend have some fun on the company’s expense. Gary Oldman as Nic Wyatt, Cassidy’s boss suggests that the only way for restitution is for him to go and work for his former mentor, Harrison Ford as Jock Goddard as a mole in attempt to steal business secrets. Things escalate quickly as Cassidy realizes the extent of the feud between Wyatt and Goddard, gets a closer look into the global success of these gluttony and fraud based companies and finds himself in danger.
Ford describes the movie as a “high stakes game of industrial espionage”. The film also plays closely with the notion that we are being watched and everything you do whether internet and social networking to who you call or send text messages to is being filed in your own personal profile. Headliner Hemsworth gages his own paranoia as he speaks on his personal information that could be revealed when using technology and social networking. “Everyone is becoming more and more aware of how much of our personal information gets stored in cyber space… It’s a pretty scary thought to think of how crazy technology has got these days.”
Liam Hemsworth and fiancé Miley Cyrus who as of recently garnered some buzz for herself though her new image appeared at the Los Angeles movie premiere together in mist of rumors the two have split.
Paranoia is based on a novel by Joseph Finder and the adaption, a fast paced thriller will be in theatres August 16th.
