'Les MisÃ©rables' to Become US TV Legal Drama | Def Pen

‘Les MisÃ©rables’ will be adapted into a modern day legal drama for US television.

Deadline is reporting that ‘Veronica Mars’ creator Rob Thomas will revamp the novel for Fox.

Thomas plans on turning the character Jean Valjean into a lawyer who is haunted by his past demons as he tries manage his love life and deal with a relentless US attorney.

Most recently, the novel was adapted into an Academy Award winning musical starring Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway.
