Deadline is reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce an adaptation of HG Wells novel ‘The Island of Dr Moreau’.
Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, writers of ‘Hemlock Grove’ on Netflix, will write the script with the film being distributed by Warner Bros.
‘The Island of Dr Moreau’ centers around a man who becomes shipwrecked on an island and meets a doctor. He then discovers the doctor has been experimenting to create animal-human hybrids.
The novel was most recently adapted in 1996 starring Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer. Be sure to check out the trailer below.
