The NBA has released the current fan voting numbers for the 2017 All-Star Game:
Based on these returns, the current projected starting lineups would be as follows:
East:
G: Kyrie Irving
G: Dwyane Wade
F: Giannis Antetokounmpo
F: LeBron James
F: Kevin Love
West:
G: Stephen Curry
G: James Harden
F: Kawhi Leonard
F: Kevin Durant
F: Zaza Pachulia
Currently, the Warriors and Cavaliers would each have three players starting in the All-Star game. The third member of the Warriors isn’t Klay Thompson or Draymond Green as you might expect, though. Just like last year, Zaza Pachulia is getting plenty of votes from his native country of Georgia, plus probably a few votes from Warriors fans.
Many people will disagree with certain voting-leaders, which is certainly understandable. Russell Westbrook being left out of the starting lineup is odd, Zaza Pachulia and Dwyane Wade should not be All-Stars. Kyrie Irving probably shouldn’t be starting over Kyle Lowry. It is important to remember, though, that this is just the fan vote, which now accounts for just 50% of the All-Star voting system. Player and media votes make up the remaining half.
