Over the past two seasons, Kobe Bryant has been the highest paid player in the NBA. LeBron James and Kevin Durant, the two main faces in the NBA today, have passed the aging Bryant on the list of the world’s highest paid athletes which was released today by Forbes.
LeBron James makes a total of 64.8 million dollars in yearly pay, 20.8 million dollars in yearly salary and winnings, plus 44 million dollars in yearly endorsements.
Kevin Durant makes a total of 54.1 million dollars in yearly pay, 19.1 million dollars in yearly salary and winnings, plus 35 million dollars in yearly endorsements.
Other members of the league are on the rise on the list of our world’s highest paid athletes. Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks just bought a Puerto Rican soccer team this week. He also launched his own business called Melo7 Tech Partners, which funds start-up businesses. Not to mention, he has also invested into the idea of teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As Carmelo Anthony made some large financial moves this year, we’re all wondering who else in the NBA will be on the economic rise.
