LeBron James will be named the NBA regular season MVP tomorrow according to sources within the League. James will win his third MVP of his career – following wins in Cleveland in 2009/2010 – and becomes just the eighth player to win the award three times.
The award was expected to be a two-horse race between James and Oklahoma’s Kevin Durant but the Miami forward gets the nod for a season in which he finished third in the league in scoring (27.1 per game), fourth in steals (1.85), 13th in assists (6.2), 25th in rebounds (7.9) . He also was 11th in field goal percentage.
