A few hours until the 2015-16 NBA regular season! Whoowee I’m excited, I know you all are! And it’s now time for players to stop preseason mode and lock in the championship mindset.
It’s time to see if LeBron James can get into an unprecedented 6th NBA Finals. Most of you will put them in like it ‘ain’t no thang’ but I’m not giving the East to them just like that. There’s still the Bulls and the Heat. There are still some teams that can magically kill it. You never know.
But LeBron isn’t about opponents, he’s battling history, not his peers and he knows that he has no time to waste.
“Once we get healthy, we’ll know exactly what we have,” James said. “For our team, health is going to be No.1 because we have so many great pieces.”
“It’s not even fair to say what we’ll look like the first game of the season, because it’s not what we’ll look like in January, February or even March,” James said. “Your team changes from month to month, and obviously our team will be different from the start of the season compared to a third of the way into the season.”
“I have no time to waste,” James said. “My ultimate goal is to win a championship, and it starts now.”
I know he knows it. LeBron knows that his battle against father time is beginning. Round 1 is seeing if he can lead the team without playing his usual minutes.
I don’t want to speculate and wonder if LeBron will go 12 rounds with father time, but he knows that the bout has begun and father time is unpredictable. It could go 12 rounds or it’ll go for the KO in Round 2. LeBron got to get it as soon as he can.
