The Cleveland Cavaliers are back in the Playoffs. Funny enough the last time they were there. LeBron James was on the roster.
I can really chop down Kyrie but I won’t this time. The Cavs are back in the postseason and have never been stronger. The Cavs are the title favorites (when they shouldn’t) and are ready to battle the Boston Celtics. LeBron is their leader and plans to do just that. But I can’t help but think. Can he lead a team where most players on the roster have never sniffed Playoff basketball? We’ll find out soon enough but LeBron is ready for the challenge.
“I’m 22-7 in the postseason,” James said after Cavs practice Saturday. “So I think about every loss I’ve ever had, every series loss I’ve ever had, and all those experiences helped me get to this point. So it’s definitely a different challenge for me. I’m going in with a much younger team, with a much [more] inexperienced team than I’ve had the last four years, but I look forward to the challenge.”
“I worry about each game, each day,” James said. “There’s so many emotions that goes on in the NBA playoffs that you can’t get too high or get too low on it and you can’t put a countdown or a number on it. You go to each day and get the most out of it. Win, lose or draw, you get the most out of each day, and if you get the most out of each day, I can be happy at the end of it.“
I know LeBron is the head honcho. But look past LeBron and what do you have? You have a Kyrie and Kevin Love that have had their teams in tank mode for most of their careers. What if LeBron gets injured? What then? Would they be a title favorite?
