LeBron James was recently talking about his 12-year-old son, LeBron James Jr. at a Cavaliers media session.
“I didn’t handle the ball as well as he does, and he shoots it a lot better than I did at that age. I’ve always had the ability to pass the ball, and it’s good to see him doing that, too,” said James.
The young hooper has already started receiving offers from colleges such as Kentucky and Duke. At just 10-years-old, James Jr. was getting attention from colleges, which not even his father can claim.
While LeBron James says his son is a better shooter and ball handler at that age, he said they are about the same with their passing skills (which is still impressive).
The prodigal 12-year-old currently plays on an AAU team, the North Coast Bluechips. James Jr. helped lead his team to a championship in Akron, Ohio at the “Ohio Showcase.”
James also has another son, Bryce Maximus James, who is on the Bluechips as well. Bryce is just nine-years-old. In 2014, James had a daughter, Zhuri, to add to the family.
James Jr. will be the prospect to keep an eye on, obviously, as the years go by. If he’s anything like his father, he’ll be a special talent coming out of high school.
