There is no doubt of LeBron James’ excellence. He has already entrenched himself among the greatest the league has ever seen and he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
But every once in a while, a new milestone will come along to remind is of LeBron’s greatness. This time, it was James surpassing Shaquille O’Neal to become the NBA’s seventh-leading scorer of all time.
James hit the clinching free throw late in a loss to the (TNT) Chicago Bulls:
The milestone was part of a 26-point, 10-rebound, and 8-assist performance as the Cavs attempted to exit the awful stretch they have recently found themselves in.
Seeing as the game was played on TNT, Shaq was asked for his reaction after the game and it was predictably hilarious:
.@SHAQ is handling being passed by LeBron pretty well… ? pic.twitter.com/ETvBqbRmmU

Shaq, who was recently honored with a statue outside Staples Center in Los Angeles, is a former teammate of LeBron’s so surely there isn’t any real bad blood there.
In all seriousness, this is another deserved milestone for LeBron James who continues climbing not only the list of greatest scorers ever but also the list of greatest basketball players ever.
