For as long as many can remember, discussions about LeBron James’ hair have been talked about almost as much as how he compares to Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan.
His hair has been the subject of ridicule in the past and people have said everything about it. They say he goes to Bosley, uses Just for Men, has hair plugs, uses hair transplants and even uses dye to fill in what may or may be missing on top.
It appears that now we finally get the truth about LeBron’s haircut habits from his personal barber.
Following according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Barber Nick Castemanos has grown tired of getting asked over and over again about the hairline of his most famous client, LeBron James.
“There is no dye. No additives. No preservatives,” Castemanos told Yahoo Sports in a phone interview Thursday. “Everyone thinks he’s dying his hair using [temporary hair colorings] Bigen or Black Ice. It’s all his hair. They still don’t believe me. I get Bigen comments all the time.
“I’ve become numb to it. It used to bother me. It’s not easy to hear that.”
“LeBron is very tedious about how his hair is cut,” said Castemanos, who has been a professional barber for 11 years. “The beard is the No. 1 thing. He leaves the top up to me. I leave him less bald. He’s my guy.
“He’s my hardest haircut. He has good hair. You have to cut it right. He has five areas under the chin that you have to take your time with. You have to have patience. It usually takes about 50 minutes.”
As of late, LeBron’s hairline has undergone a restoration of sorts. He’s removed the headband that he’s worn for years and his head is now more displayed for everyone to see. There were days when his hair was not always the most liked thing on the internet and his aging was often showing for everyone to target. LeBron being the target for hateful hair jokes even happened during the most recent playoffs.

The current state of LeBron’s hair is way better than it has ever been and with his new found barber in the wings, I’m sure it will never be like it once was. Even some top media outlets decided to make the most out of LeBron’s hair being a top issue for some time.
