LeBron James has scored A LOT over his career in the playoffs. In fact, LeBron has scored so many playoff points that he has passed the great Jerry West on the all time postseason scoring list tonight, recording his 4,458th point early in the second quarter tonight against the Celtics to move into the 7th spot all time.

The basket that moved LeBron ahead of “The Logo” was his 19th out of a total of 30 points on the night. The next great player that he is chasing down for the 6th spot is Karl Malone, and he is currently 292 points away from “The Mailman.” Michael Jordan leads the all time list with 5,987 points in 179 postseason games (33.7 PPG).
To go along with the 30 points LeBron scored, he also grabbed 9 rebounds and assisted his teammates 7 times, and he also played amazing defense as he recorded 2 blocks against the Celtics. His Cavaliers won the game 99-91 in a close game.
Passing the great Jerry West at just age 30 is an amazing accomplishment for LeBron, and it comes just one game after he passed Michael Jordan for the 9th spot of all time in postseason assists. He has been able to reach these milestones because his teams always make deep playoff runs, and he has made the playoffs 10 times, and the only time he did not make it was his rookie season. LeBron has scored a lot of points in his postseason career, and when it’s all said and done, he will probably be one of the top three postseason scorers of all time.
