Everyone remembers Space Jam, the famous movie featuring the best basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, and the Looney Tune Squad. It was an instant classic and came out when MJ’s character was larger than life. Over the past few years, there have been multiple rumblings of NBA superstar LeBron James to star in a sequel to the cartoon movie, Space Jam 2. Sure James could do it and it’d get plenty of hits, he is one of the most popular athletes on the planet after all. If Space Jam 2 is what LeBron sees in his future, he took a major step in the right direction today. Following from Brian Windhorst of ESPN:
Warner Bros. announced partnership with LeBron James' SpringHill Productions to develop TV, movie & digital content projects.

You may be thinking what does that have anything to do with James starring in Space Jam 2? But there’s more. The Warner Bros company were responsible for the first Space Jam and they own the trademark.
Warner Bros. owns rights to Space Jam. There's been attempts by production companies to get LeBron to star in a reboot in recent years

This could all be for something else that has absolutely nothing to do with the creation of a Space Jam 2. But then again it could also be exactly that. I don’t see why Warner Bros and James wouldn’t be able to pull this thing off, they’re a multi-million dollar company and he’s one of the most famous global figures today. No one would mind seeing another Space Jam, I know I wouldn’t at least, so why not give it a shot?
