Pat Riley is a person that takes things personally. And it’s not an irrational attitude. It’s creating a challenge out of nothing. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s in the best of people. And since LeBron James left. Pat Riley has held a form of grudge towards LeBron. He has coped with him gone, but he has held something and has used it as a motivator.
As a Heat fan. I love it. But sometimes, like this time. It gets to the point of having sour grapes. Recently Pat Riley talked about a fresh start. And the media has taken it as a veiled shot at LeBron. So. To pursue this. Said media went to LeBron to get a response. And like his annual social media blackout. He’s not giving much away.
“I’m unaware,” James said. “Whatever he said, for me, it’s not my concern right now. My concern is Game 2. I have no notion of what transpired yesterday.”
“I don’t care about nonsense,” James said. “There’s too much nonsense out there. This is a time where I lock in right now and I don’t need nothing creeping into my mind for no reason that don’t need to be there. I put all my energy and effort toward this team, that’s all that matters.“
So basically. Pat Riley took a half shot at LeBron and because James is in a social media blackout. He didn’t even know.
