From the minute he entered the NBA, Derrick Rose was a quiet guy. Even at the all-star game he wasn’t the guy who danced, or laughed he was just their, appreciative to be with a bunch of stars. Therefore, you never really know what’s going on in his head. On Saturday night, it was obvious for once in Derrick Rose’s career he was trying to say something big, something bold. With all the news about Ferguson, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner, and videos storming social media about the killings, Derrick Rose decided to wear a “I Can’t Breathe” Shirt, during his pre-game warm up. . This shirt represents what Eric Garner was saying in the video shown of him being choked by an NYPD police officer, yelling “I Can’t Breathe.” LeBron James told reporters he loved it.

On Sunday prior to practice he was asked about Rose’s protest gesture.
“It’s spectacular,” James said. “I loved it. I’m looking for one.”
When asked if he planned to wear the T-shirt before a game, James was coy, but hinted it could potentially happen.
“It’s possible,” he said. “I’m looking for one. I think it was great.”
