When I saw this, i had to read it again. Because of all the MVP candidates, LeBron James is probably my least favourite to win the MVP, I don’t see him winning it. I have 3-5 players over LeBron to take the MVP award. The list is so stacked I can’t see LeBron topping them all.
But apparently he’s the bookies favourite. I wouldn’t sniff that bet but alright.
The sports book Bovada set odds for James to be the NBA MVP at 11/4, besting the New Orleans Pelicans’ Davis (4/1), Oklahoma City’s Durant (11/2), and Curry (6/1), the league’s reigning MVP whose Golden State Warriors topped James’ Cavs in the Finals.
James, 30, finished third in MVP voting last season — his first with Cleveland since 2010 — despite missing 13 games (the Cavs went 2-11). He averaged near career lows in points (25.3) and rebounds (6.0) per game.
James Harden, who finished second in the MVP race, has 7/1 odds to win the award this year, according to Bovada.
Where’s Westbrook and DeMarcus Cousins? I’m going to throw them guys in the mix. And now that I have, I actually don’t know who’s going to get it.
Oh, Paul George! Before the injury he was an MVP candidate, if we’re going to put Kevin Durant up there we might as well throw PG’s name in there.
Man when is this season coming?! It’s not here yet?! Hurry up!
