When I saw that the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to face the Toronto Raptors last night, I think we all wanted the Raptors to win, just to spice up the Eastern Conference, just a little.
And lo and behold the Raptors did it thanks to a clutch Kyle Lowry performance. The Raptors are now hot on the Cavaliers’ heels, only 2 games back with 3rd seed Boston 8 games back.
LeBron James is noticing the Cavs lack of mental strength at the moment. Making this Raptors loss seem more significant to me.
“When you lose the way we lost, mental mistake after mental mistake, those hurt more than anything when you can play better mentally,” James said. “People get so caught up on the physical side of the game. We lack mental right now, and we’ve got to continue to get better with it.”
“A couple of unfocused plays, not following the game plan and it burned us,” James said.
Also in the article James said his tragic go-ahead airball wasn’t the reason they lost. Of course not.
Alright I’m just poking fun with that, but what if LeBron drained that? Would he just hold back on this ‘mental strength’ talk until they suffered a significant loss?
