LeBron James is still funky about the NBA Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors in just 6 games. With Stephen Curry and the Warriors parading around with their first championship since 1975 and the Cleveland Cavaliers have to look forward to the off-season. The Cavaliers started off the season 19-20 and ended up in the NBA Finals, the season was not a disappointment, but to LeBron James, it was. At this point, anything less then an NBA championship will be a disappointment for LeBron. Is disappointment too much of a recurring process for the King?
According to his new Uninterrupted video from Bleacher Report:
For fans still bummed out about the Cleveland Cavaliers’ loss in the NBA Finals, LeBron James has a message: He’s not happy either.
“It hurt to lose, and I’m still in a little funk right now, but I’m trying to work my way out of it,” James said in a video posted Saturday for Bleacher Report.
James addressed Cavaliers fans in the video, saying that while he was “not happy with the way it closed out,” he was pleased with the effort shown by his teammates last season.
“You know, for a team that’s first getting together, in our first year to be able to reach the Finals — not saying I’m happy with the results, but I’m proud of our guys,” James said. “Just the growth that they had from the first day we walked in the gym to the other day, us losing, I’m proud of the guys and what they was able to accomplish.”
LeBron James is now 2-4 in the NBA Finals and to many haters, that just isn’t a good enough winning record, but let me tell you guys something. There is only a handful of NBA players EVER that could do the performance that LeBron did in the NBA Finals. He literally put an entire state and city on his back and didn’t let go until the buzzer blew in Game 6. He gave it all he got, what more could you ask for? LeBron took the loss, but we all know he’s going to be back there next time this year.
