LeBron James only played in two preseason games with the Cavs before receiving an anti-inflammatory injection in his back on Oct. 13, which kept him out for the remainder of the preseason. James had back issues last season that led to a similar anti-inflammatory shot. He also struggled with a knee strain last season.
James is said to be making steady progress, and as the Cavs’ season opener against the Chicago Bulls approaches this Tuesday, Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports reports that James is expected to be ready to go for the regular season debut.
At 30, James is approaching his 13th season in the NBA. James is coming off of his fourth consecutive appearance in the NBA Finals this past June.
