The Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James has been elected by the players union as the Vice President of the National Basketball Players Association. Last year when LeBron James took his talents to Cleveland, his home, where he signed a 1 year deal. This was surprising to many, because it truly didn’t show his dedication to the team. What the naked eye doesn’t see is that LeBron James really only did this in order to receive WAY more money when the television deal happens in 2016.
LeBron James will run things in the NBPA with fellow friend and Los Angeles Clippers All-Star Point Guard Chris Paul. Roger Mason Jr. has been the interim Vice President for quite sometime, until LeBron James was voted in.
At first, there were speculations that LeBron would run to become President of the NBPA, but those quite down once Chris Paul assumed the position.
Congratulations to LeBron James who will be enjoying the new responsibility of getting all the NBA players the pay they deserve. I’m sure he’s not thinking about that right now, and trying to enjoy the much needed All-Star break he needs.
