NBA superstar LeBron James just loves his assist records. Earlier this season he passed Scottie Pippen at assist 6,135 and became the leader for the most assists by a forward. In last night’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks, James dished out a game high eight assists. This output pushed him pass Mark Price who held the all time assist leader for the Cavaliers at 4,206.

As you can probably imagine this assist record isn’t the only Cavalier record that James holds. You can check out the rest of his Cavalier records at Basketball Reference.
James and the Cavaliers went on to beat the Mavericks pretty easily by the way 127-94. James had 27 points and seven boards to go along with those eight assists. He’s really digging the ways his Cavs are playing right now.

“The best thing about tonight is we played a complete 48 minutes,” James said. “I just liked the way we approached the game. We shared the ball, and everyone fell into a rhythm.”
Fun Fact: Cavs starters James, Irving, Love, and Smith all scored 20+ points if one Mozgov could’ve dropped 20, it would have been the first time since 1987 where a game had five or more players hit the 20 point mark on the same team.
