With the hectic schedule that NBA players have to live with, their families take some of the heat from it too. LeBron James attempts to see his family as much as possible while balancing this lifestyle. He also attends his sons’ games as frequently as possible, and he even stated that LeBron Jr. is a better dribbler and shooter than he was at that age.
There is also more that comes along with the NBA schedule, especially when you’re LeBron James. Having to stay in the best shape while pushing your body and eating healthy is a daily function outside of practices and other events that he must oblige to every so often. With LeBron’s healthy obsession with being one of the greatest basketball players ever with his family supporting him every step of the way, something that usually gets overlooked is how his wife Savannah and his two sons LeBron Jr. and Bryan always manage to stay out of the media’s gaze. LeBron apologized to Savannah for his “journey to greatness” on Uninterrupted’s “Road Trippin” which is Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye’s podcast.
“I am addicted to the process. I’m addicted to the process,” James said. “It’s so funny. I just told my wife the other day, I apologized to her. She was like ‘What are you apologizing for?’ I said ‘Because the journey that I’m on to want to be the greatest to ever play this game or to the point where no one ever forgets what I accomplished, I’ve at times lost the fact of how important you are to this whole thing. … I want you to understand that along this journey while I’m playing this game there will be times that I lose the fact of how important you and my three kids are – my babies are.’”
