The Player of the Week was very fittingly awarded to 2 players who had amazing weeks for their respective teams.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 19, through Sunday, Jan. 25.
James led the Cavaliers to a 4-0 week behind averages of 27.8 points (second in the conference), 6.8 assists (tied-fifth in the conference), 6.3 rebounds and 2.25 steals (sixth in the conference). He scored 25 or more points in all four contests, and recorded back-to-back games with four steals on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, during wins over the Utah Jazz and Charlotte Hornets. On Jan. 25, James tallied 34 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks during a 108-98 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Thompson averaged 33.0 points (second in the West) and helped the Warriors to a 4-0 week. He connected on 21-of-38 three-point attempts, and ranked eighth in the conference with 2.25 steals per game. On Jan. 23, during a 126-101 win over the Sacramento Kings, Thompson set an NBA record for most points in a quarter with 37 in the third period, en route to 52 points for the game.
