Larry Sanders is something else. He has all the talent in the world. Yet people forget about him. Part of that is because he plays in Milwaukee. Another part of that is because he’s injury prone.
But the last part is because he’s a locker room nightmare. Having beef with teammates? That. Doesn’t fly with me. Kobe Bryant may be a ball hog from time to time. But he’s fine in the locker room. Larry Sanders doesn’t get it done on the court, or off the court.
But the news (from ESPN.com) of Sanders having minor surgery for precautionary reasons. Is a step in the right direction.
General manager John Hammond said Friday that Sanders had an outpatient procedure. Sanders is expected to be ready when the regular season begins Oct. 29 against the Charlotte Hornets. Details of Sanders’ surgery were not disclosed.
That’s fine by me. Whether it’s for his thumb or his orbital bone fracture earlier in the year. As long as he gets it done. I’m fine with Larry Sanders. And the Milwaukee Bucks will be allowed to grow.
