Arizona Cardinal’s wide-receiver Larry Fitzgerald will return for the 2018 season.
After 14 long season Fitgerald will return for a 15th. The 11-time Pro Bowler will turn 35 in August and is still enjoying some of his best years.
Few expected Fitzgerald to actually retire after signing an extension in November. At the time thought he was still up in the air about whether he would actually play or not. Many believe he was waiting to see how the coaching situation would shake out after Bruce Arians retired.
Larry Fitzgerald has marked his name in several all-time categories and now that he will keep playing he has the chance to move up on a few lists. Fitzgerald is 92 catches away from passing Tony Gonzales for second-all time receptions list and 390 yards to pass T.O. for second all-time yards.
It would be a stretch to say Fitz will reach Rice’s records but he’s still a great player with a few more years in the tank.
