The Bucks have suddenly become a franchise that moved forward not backward. So the fact that Milwaukee disrespected Larry Drew in some sorts is quite surprising. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Bucks “blindsided” Larry Drew and fired him without warning.
“From their (the owners’) standpoint, there’s no set time for these type of things,” Drew said in an interview with the Journal Sentinel.
“It caught me in a position when I least expected it. But I know how these things work. I don’t have any hard feelings, any grudges against anybody.
“Marc (Lasry) called me and I just wished him luck. I’ve got to keep moving forward.“
I find these things ugly if the person being fired holds a grudge about it. But luckily Larry Drew is a professional. But hey! He gets to leave Milwaukee. He should be thanking them!
