When the star of the Indiana Pacers, Paul George, went down in the summer with a horrific leg injury, the immediate concerns were, when is he going to come back? The Indiana Pacers would immediately not be the same without him.
6 Months later and now in 1 months time, George is expected to be just about healed and he has even talked briefly about possibly returning this season.
The Pacers president, Larry Bird, has also answered questions about George’s return and he seems to be welcome to having George return, irregardless if the Pacers are in the playoffs or not.
From the Indiana Pacers twitter.
Bird said he was told Paul George's leg would be healed 7 months from the injury. "That will be in March and we'll go from there."

Bird, on if Paul George will return this season: "If he gets healthy and they say he can play and he wants to play, we'll let him play."

Bird was clear that he has "no idea" if Paul George will play this season. "I think it's important if he can play, he should be out there."

George coming back to play a little bit, wearing his new number 13 jersey and getting him back to NBA action would be a good thing for the Pacers, long term.
This season, their playoff expectations are probably not possible. A positive in the future is the surprise of a few guys who stepped up, in Donald Sloan and Solomon Hill, when given the chance due to early injuries to a couple of different other team stars, not named Paul George. David West missed some time, along with George Hill who missed just about the first 2 months of the season.
Pacers are 17-32 this season and should chalk this season as a loss, just get everything aligned for a big run next season.
