The Draft Lottery is a few days away and we’re starting to get a feel for the Draft prospects’ capabilities thanks to the Draft Combine. The experts will now take the information gathered in the combine and reward the winners as well as punish the supposed losers.
If you don’t know Willie Cauley-Stein let me fill you in. He’s big, lean body, got hops and good defensive ability. He’s a good-looking talent with a great personality which is always good for the locker room.
Now during the combine, players get interviewed by teams, get grilled a little, the usual stuff to get a personal feel of your potential pick. President for the Indiana Pacers Larry Bird talked to WCS and he gave him a very good compliment.
WCS on his meeting w/ #Pacers: “Larry (Bird) told me, ‘I think you’re a $100 million dollar player.’ I hear that and I’m like, ‘Really?!’”
WCS said that he will have a workout w/ the #Pacers in the near future.
WCS on #Pacers: “They see me as a player in the five position & put Paul (George) at the four. Now I’ll have a mismatch…”
Cauley-Stein would have to be the center in any team he’s drafted by. When it comes to Indiana, I can see them implementing a big starting 5 with Hibbert and Cauley-Stein going for the “Twin Tower” look with Paul George manning the 3. But that’s just my idea for the Pacers, your move Mr Bird.
