The Los Angeles Police Department has started an investigation over threats towards Chris Paul’s wife Jada Crawley. A day after the Clipper’s brutal loss to the Cavaliers, a Twitter user sent a tweet towards Paul that read,
“@CP3 if I knew where you lived I’d probably kill your wife and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it.”
The tweet has since been deleted.
After learning about the tweet, the Clippers organization notified the LAPD. They started a full investigation, but nobody has been arrested yet. According to TMZ Sports, the user has made annoying comments on family pictures of Paul’s in the past. The user has especially made rude comments to Jada. This is the first time that the user has threatened Paul or his family physically though.
