Philadelphia Eagles star offensive lineman Lane Johnson has suffered an abdominal tear leaving his season in doubt. He suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of the team’s 40-34 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week Sixteen. Johnson is not expected to play the last two games of the regular season. The team is hopeful that he will be able to play in the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs. Capturing the one seed and getting a first-round bye would help the offensive lineman recover for an extra week and perhaps play in the second round.
Eagles’ are hopeful that four-time Pro Bowl OT Lane Johnson will return for the postseason, but he is not expected to play again this regular season due to what tests revealed was a torn tendon in the abdominal area, per sources.

Lane Johnson is rated as the best pass-blocker in the NFL this season and without him, the Philadelphia Eagles struggle on offense. With quarterback Jalen Hurts also dealing with an injury things look a little bleak for the franchise. They need one win or one Dallas loss to clinch the NFC East. One win would also all but clinch their spot as the number-one overall seed in the NFC. Getting healthy has to be a priority for the team heading into the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs. Clinching the number one overall seed is also a vital move for the team if they want to contend for a Super Bowl.
