Lance Stephenson is back in the playoffs and the entire NBA community is rejoicing. Not only is he in the playoffs but he is in the playoffs playing against his old pal, LeBron James. Lance has had a decent start to the playoffs, especially considering his near exile from the league. In 2 games, he is averaging 14.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 53.8% shooting
Lance’s tendency to exude energy can be a blessing and a curse, however. It has already drawn the ire from his teammate and coach in his short time back with the Pacers. Lance explained his energy and what he needs to do against LeBron in the most Lance way possible according to Michael Singer of USA Today.
“I’m just happy I’m playing, happy I’m on the court with a playoff team,”
“You just gotta tame him,”
“He’s playing so well right now. His jump shot has really improved. Just gotta get into him, make him pass the ball. Make his teammates make decisions.”
Lance will have another chance to “tame” LeBron James tonight in a crucial game three. While LeBron has never been tamed in his many years in the NBA, Lance has a good chance to positively impact the game and win one in Indiana.
