LaMarcus Aldridge is going to have one of the most eventful offseason out of the many NBA players. Not is he one of the most sought after free agents this year, he will also be rehabilitating his left thumb, an injury that he has been dealing with for months and like a trooper has been playing through.
Now that his season is over, he can now think about his health, which is why he will be out for approximately 8 weeks after undergoing successful thumb surgery.
Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge underwent successful surgery today to repair the injured radial collateral ligament of his left thumb. Dr. Thomas J. Graham performed the procedure at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Aldridge is expected to be able to return basketball activity in approximately eight weeks.
Now this shouldn’t be a red flag for any teams, he has been playing with it for over half of the season so it couldn’t have been that irksome. His numbers didn’t drop, so assume all teams that are already interested in him to still be just that. For LaMarcus Aldridge, the only thing he has to do is kick back, relax and watch the free agent carousel spin.
