The Los Angeles Lakers have to kick it into high gear immediately. They’re stacked in the forward department but the guard positions are still to be formalised.
But waiving Kendall Marshall and resigning Xavier Henry is a good start. The news was broke by ProBasketballTalk.
By waiving Marshall the Lakers may have room to re-sign Ryan Kelly. If it came down to a choice between those two the Lakers made the right call.
That said, if he clears waivers (and he very well might) the Lakers might re-sign him for the minimum.
This is a good move by the Lakers. Hopefully Kendall will fall right back into their hands. He’s proven that he is good off the bench and Henry has revitalised his career and the Lakers rightly so give him a 1-Year extension.
