Another piece of information surfaced about the 2015-16 NBA schedule, again involving the Lakers, who are reportedly slated to match up with the Clippers on Christmas Day.
Mike Bresnahan of the LA Times reports the Lakers’ season opener.
Barring last-minute changes, Lakers open the season at home vs. Minnesota. Why Minnesota? No. 1 pick vs. No. 2, Towns vs. Russell.

Other than featuring the top two draft picks, this match up boasts a cast of rising young talent on both sides — the reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine for the Timberwolves, and Jordan Clarkson and a returning Julius Randle for the Lakers.
Of course, Kobe Bryant coming back from his shoulder injury and a new-look Lakers squad will contribute to the season-opening storylines. The Lakers and Timberwolves are likely to find themselves in the bottom barrel of the Western Conference, clawing for their respective legitimacy. All things considered this will be a fun test for both teams to start the season.
The full NBA schedule for the 2015-16 season will be released on Wednesday, August 12, at 6 PM EST on NBA TV.
