The Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly host a pre-draft workout with draft prospect Buddy Hield over the weekend. Brad Turner of the L.A. Times reports via Twitter:

In our latest Def Pen Mock Draft, Hield is listed as being selected no. 3 overall by the Boston Celtics. The Lakers are expected to select between Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram with the no. 2 pick, choosing between whoever is not taken by the Philadelphia 76ers with the no. 1 pick.
Last year, the Lakers were expected to go with big man Jahlil Okafor heading into the draft. D’Angelo Russell swayed them in the final days of deliberation in his work outs, which is what Hield at least has a chance to do this year. Hield has been working out with Kobe Bryant preparing for the draft, which may suggest some favor when it comes to the Lakers. If the Lakers do seriously consider Hield with the no. 2 pick it’ll be based on true belief in his game and not wanting to let him slip to another team. Hield would have to make a serious impression that he’s worth being selected top two overall.
