KOBE MEEKS!
JODIE BRYANT!
Jodie Meeks had the game of his life against the Western Conference leading Oklahoma City Thunder. It was one of the better shooting performances of the season. Meeks was shooting as if the rim was the size of the Pacific Ocean, and scoring 42 points while shooing 6/11 from three will attest to this.
The Lakers seem to hit their stride in the 3rd quarter — outscored the Thunder 36-19. During this stint, the Lakers were hitting shots left and right from players Meeks, Gasol (20 pts, 11 rebs), Jordan Farmer (12 pts), Kent Bazemore (11 pts), and Ryan Kelly with a surprising 8 assists; it was a chain reaction once Meeks got the ball rolling.
As for the Thunder, Kevin Durant had a light 27 points, 10 rebound, and 12 assists. Durant wasn’t alone in the scoring category with helpful servings from Russell Westbrook (20 pts, 7 ast) and Serge Ibaka (21 pts, 15 rebs), but it was terrible shooting — 42% from the field and 66% from the line — that held them back, oh, and Jodie Meeks making every shot from anywhere on Earth.
The curse of Lil B is very real.
