Kobe Bryant became the oldest man in NBA history to record a triple-double Tuesday night, finishing with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in a Lakers 111-103 win over the Nuggets.
The Lakers had the hot hand through out the night as Carlos Boozer finished with 19 points and nine rebounds off the bench, while Ronnie Price was 5-of-6 from 3-point range with 18 points for the Lakers who made a season high 14 three pointers.
Los Angeles led by double digits for the first three-quarters, but a seven minute scoring drought got the Nuggets within five points with just under five minutes left in regulation.
That’s as close as the score would get, as Nate Robinson was ejected for Denver after picking up two technical fouls, and the Lakers made their free throws to end a seven game losing streak against the Nuggets.
Jusuf Nurkic posted a career-high 16 points off the bench for Denver, which has lost four out of their last five games. Ty Lawson had 16 points and nine assists while Nate Robinson scored seven of his 13 points in the fourth quarter before getting tossed.
