LA Clippers Advance Past Golden State With 126-121 Win In Game 7
The Los Angeles Clippers advanced to the Western Conference semifinals with a 126-121 win against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. The Clippers held off an onslaught of Golden State offense led by Stephen Curry’s team-high 33 points and a special 24-point performance from Draymond Green. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points and 6 assists.
The Clippers wouldn’t gain their first lead until the third quarter. Four different Clipper players finished with 20+ points including Jamal Crawford’s 22 off the bench and 20 from J.J. Redick. Those contributions in addition to Chris Paul’s best offensive game of this series with 22 points and 14 assists gave Los Angeles the sparks they needed to endure. That’s not without DeAndre Jordan (15 points, 18 rebounds), whose defensive dominance and paint presence was the true difference in the entire series.
Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers will be this Monday night.
