Kyrie is beginning to think big these days now that he is making a name for himself. Rookie of the Year, Three Point Champion, All Star, cover star of EA Sports’ NBA Live 14 and I’m sure many more accolades in the future.
But he’s hungry for more, according to ESPN.com Kyrie Irving says that he wants to be the best in the league. But here’s the catch… He doesn’t want to be the best 5 years from now, he wants to be the best NOW!
I want to be the best player in this league.
In order to do that, I know we have to win a lot of games. But I’m the leader of this team, and I’m ready to take responsibility for it by helping us make the playoffs. This is the best I’ve ever felt coming into a season.
I’m confident they can get playoff basketball for the first since LeBron was there but the best player?! He’s not even the best point guard in the league! (CP3 is. Personally)
Now don’t get me wrong he’ll be the best PG in the league in a few years time but not this season, lets get to the playoffs first shall we?
